Toni McSorley graduated from The University of Tennessee and has continued her education focused on health and nutrition. She has been certified by Bastyr College and The East-West Herbalist Program, and undergone intensive training by Nutraceuticals and Enzymatic Therapy. She continues to train on up-to-date natural healing.

Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, McSorley has also studied Martial Arts for 41 years. She is an 8th Dan in Japanese Karate, holds a black belt in Taekwondo, spent a year training in Savate and eight years in American Bondo. She holds six World Championships and four National Martial Arts Hall of Fame awards.

McSorley owns and operates Arts of the Samurai, a traditional dojo that teaches Kendo, Karate, and Judo. She is one of the area’s specialists in martial arts training for children and adults with learning disabilities. She coaches, trains women in self-defense, teaches knife-defense and competition and consistently produces one of the top medal-winning teams in the National Martial Arts Team Alliance.

She also does health consultations, under her other business, Owl Wisdom. She consults people with a myriad of health concerns to educate them about diet, supplements, and healthy living practices.

McSorley believes in giving back to the community she lives in. Arts of the Samurai does a number of fundraisers through the year for Serenity Shelter, St .Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Angel Tree and Knox Area Rescue Ministries.

She and her husband live in Knoxville, Tennessee. They have two daughters, enjoy a house full of animals, and spend any free time enjoying the Smoky Mountains.
